Hello There

It is so nice to meet you! I can’t wait to journal together.

Like most people who journal, I was always drawn to exploring my own thoughts and feelings. But there was one problem. Everyone will tell you the secret is to just “be vulnerable” or “feel your feelings” — no one wants to tell you what that looks like.

I’ve spent the last decade figuring out details. My tool of choice? Journaling. Through the years I’ve come up with prompts, exercises, and routine techniques to dig deep through journaling. Turns out, I’m pretty good at it.

After sharing these tools with friends and family, I was surprised to hear they wanted more. Even a few therapists asked to share my journaling techniques. I had no idea that sharing “how” to journal was such a valuable thing. I do now. That’s why I made Write Your Wellness.

But who am I? Hi, I’m Allie.

By day, I am an aspiring librarian. I just graduated with my Masters in Library Science because I absolutely love sharing information. By night, I write about my journaling hobby. Although, I guess you could say that’s kind of the same thing.

When I’m not working, I try to live a full life. My definition for this is always changing. Right now, it means planning a wedding with the love of my life, making new friends in my city, and trying to get 3 stars on every level of Overcooked.

How We'll Journal Together

In this house, we value healing over aesthetics.

I ask that you come to this blog ready to vent your true feelings.  As we journal together, we’ll process the big stuff — feelings, goals, and personal questions.

So grab one of those many (many) journals you’ve hoarded over the years and get writing!

Don’t have a journal? No problem! Write in a Google doc, use your phone’s notes app, heck– scribble on a napkin. Whatever gets the thoughts out.

Some blogs will teach you how to coordinate your washi tape with your calligraphy. This is not that blog. My style is more…well…no style at all. Just a humble notebook and some honest words.
